Waldorf High School of Massachusetts Bay
An Independent Waldorf High School For Grades 9-12

From Admissions Director Tuija Voutilainen Lynch
Thank you for your interest in Waldorf High School of Massachusetts Bay. Waldorf High School is a community of learners that fosters the growth of the total student through a challenging curriculum.
As a mother of 4 children, I know that the high school selection process can be demanding, however, at Waldorf High School we strive to make the process as seamless as possible for our prospective families.
  • Information Session: One of the best ways to learn about WHS is to attend an Information Session. During these sessions for students and parents you will observe classes in session, meet faculty, students, and the Director of School.
  • Shadow a Current Student: Prospective students are also invited to spend a morning shadowing a student in the grade they are applying for. Visits begin at 8:30 am with a brief orientation about the day. Following orientation, prospective students will experience a main lesson and a track class (such as math, American studies, English or Spanish). The student's visit concludes at noon, after having a conversation with a faculty member.
  • Application Process: Our application is designed to give you several opportunities to tell us about yourselves, both student and parent. Please note that we do not require standardized testing as part of the application process.
Thank you again for your interest in our learning community. Please feel free to contact me at any time to answer your questions and address any concerns you might have. You may contact me either by phone, 617-489-6600, or by email. I look forward to hearing from you!

The strengths of Waldorf High School are many. One is the acceptance of all students and the welcoming, nonjudgmental atmosphere. Another is capturing the interest of students; it is real experiential learning.
